Long time no emails, eh?
Twelve months since the postcard from the road. A great many things have happened. I explored the Colorado Plateau and the deserts of the American Southwest. Was officially authorized to teach jhānas. Officially retired from teaching jhānas. There were retreats, a house move, backpacking in Olympic and North Cascades National Parks. I read Iain McGilchrist’s The Master and His Emissary (M&HE) in Tiny Book Club. Then I read it again on my own, just to be sure.
Can we talk about this book? By parts complex, fascinating, infuriating. I’m considering a “Book Summary of M&HE for Dhamma Practitioners”. It will take forever. But in the meantime I have a lot to get off my chest.
