Greetings, Friendlies. :)
In case you did not know (I did not), Akincano Weber (of this talk and this essay… the transmogrify guy…) will be hosting a 3-hour dhamma workshop with Sangha Live. Very reasonable price tag.
It’s a 3-hour session, 7-10am PST / 10am-1pm EST / 3-6pm GMT / 4-7pm CET.
“The power of grounding in times of inner and outer conflict.”
Our hearts yearn to bridge the gap between our understanding and the incongruities that plague our choices in everyday life. How can we continue to grow, respond with heartful intelligence and reconcile the inner and the outer being? How do we find peace and agency?
We will explore tools and teachings of Early Buddhist wisdom about the sources of genuine authority and establishing the ground (adiṭṭhāna) amidst the ‘the floods of conceiving’.
- Early Buddhist teachings that shed light on aspects of what we call ‘intrinsic motivation’, ‘self-determination’ or ‘genuine authority’
- How to disidentify with the ‘tides of conceiving’ and understand the sources of authority
- Recognition and Orientation skills in situations of ethical conflict and challenge
- How to establish agency in cultivating values, intentions and aspirations
- How to use stepping stones in your contemplative practice
Price is sliding scale:
- $15 – Supported rate
- $35 – Suggested rate
- $50 – Benefactor rate
With friendliness!
